MADAM TRAN VS THE AMERICAN CHEMICAL GIANTS

ImageComingSoon

Interweaving investigative and vérité narratives, the film documents the decisions that enabled the deadliest use of chemicals in the history of warfare.

Descended from three generations of heroic Vietnamese women who crusaded to liberate their country, 73-year-old Tran To Nga is pressing ahead with her unprecedented law suit in France to hold 26 American chemical companies accountable for poisoning her, her family and her people with the herbicide Agent Orange.

The film links past and present in a dramatic montage that personalizes and dramatizes Vietnamese history even as it reveals the American decisions that brought about the “invention of ecocide.”
